Happy Feet Social Running Club:
A group of web-surfer and runner headed by Mr. Ben Chan and Miss Michelle
Rinosa founded this club at the first qtr of 2007. It's first name was
"Impromptu" because it was created instantly out of sheer fun. Then the
group finally decided to officially name the group as "Happy Feet" on the
2nd qtr of 2007.
It's official uniform were given during the fourth quarter of 2007 (with
45 members). The happy feet runners participated in the Runnex/UN Aids Awareness Day Run
this december 2007. Thanks to Doc Oknoy and Our Lord, for this wonderful gift . Happy feet runners
is now enlisted members of UN Aid awareness group.
The club is still not registered as a legal entity (not
sec-registered) because we choose a name we could not physically and legally
own. We never wanted to have any piece of paper to bind us. The group
operates like a barkadahan, an informal group that is only registered in our
own heart. There is no formal officers here. Many people questioned this club.
Without any form, it cannot operate 100% and achieve it's stardom. But what is fame if it's member is unhappy and what is the value of a form,
if it lack substance. And the more they downgrade us, the more we go to greater heights.
The more they insist on forms, the more we have substance.
